Data residency
Your workspace runs on a dedicated Ubuntu VPS hosted by Vultr. The VPS is provisioned in a specific region, and your operational state stays there.
What lives where
| Data | Region |
|---|---|
VPS state (/var/hanai/state/, runtime, dashboard, vector memory) | Your Vultr VPS region |
| Airtable base | Airtable, United States |
| Foundation-model inference | Provider regions — OpenAI and Anthropic operate in the United States. See the AI Use Disclosure. |
| Telegram messages | Telegram global infrastructure |
The DPA lists sub-processors and their regions. See DPA §5 (International Transfers) and Annex B (Sub-processors).
Choosing your region
Your VPS region is selected at provisioning time.
TODO: confirm which Vultr regions are offered at signup. Default for clients in Southeast Asia is likely Singapore — confirm before publishing.
Why it matters
Operational state — conversation history, scheduled jobs, dashboard sessions, vector memory — never leaves your VPS unless you ask for it. Cross-tenant fleet operations are driven from the operator’s laptop over SSH; there is no central platform server holding your data.
