Pausing
You can pause Han AI at any moment. Pausing stops outbound actions and background jobs. Conversation history and captured profile are untouched. Resuming picks up exactly where you left off.
How to pause
Tell the bot. Natural language is enough:
- “Pause everything until I tell you to resume.”
- “Hold off on outbound actions for the rest of today.”
- “Don’t send any emails this week.”
The AI COO confirms the pause, scopes it, and stops the relevant actions.
What a pause does
| Affected | Behaviour while paused |
|---|---|
| Outbound actions (email, third-party contact) | Suspended. The bot tells you what it would have done. |
| Recurring jobs you scheduled | Suspended for the pause window. |
| Dreaming loop | Still runs but holds insights instead of posting them. |
| Conversation in chat | Still works. You can keep asking questions and getting answers. |
How to resume
Tell the bot. “Resume”, “you’re back on”, “go again” — all work. Anything that was held during the pause is summarised so you can pick what should still happen.
Pausing one thing only
You can scope the pause:
- “Pause outbound emails only.”
- “Pause the Monday pipeline report for two weeks.”
Specific pauses don’t affect anything else.
Hard stop
If you need the bot fully offline — not just paused — message your operator. They stop the runtime service on your VPS. Restarting later restores everything from disk; nothing is lost.
